The undersigned Owner/Applicant* hereby makes application to the Otay Water District
to authorize the use of submeter(s) for resale or distribution of water pursuant to Section
27.04 of the Otay Water District Code of Ordinances.
The Owner/Applicant hereby certifies that water furnished by the Otay Water District will
only be sold through the use of a submetering system under the following conditions:
1) Individual submeters shall be installed for each person to whom water is resold.
2) Charges for the resold water will not exceed the charges made by the Otay
Water District for water furnished through the master meter serving the property,
and will comply with California Code of Regulations Section 4090.
3) Any charge made for individual submeters, installation, maintenance, billing, or
administrative costs shall be clearly delineated on the bill as a charge from the
Owner or operator.
The Owner shall be solely responsible for the water system on the private property side
of the master meter including the submeter(s).
